Биография
Яннис Маркополус родился в 1962 году в Греции. Получил художественное образование в колледже искусств г. Салоники, а затем переехал в мировую художественную столицу - Берлин. В 1991 году он получает степень магистра в художественном университете Берлина. Сегодня Яннис постоянный участник международных арт ярмарок, он провел более десятка персональных выставок по всему миру. Его работы находятся в собрании Casoria International Contemporary Art Museum .
Начиная с инсталляций и арт объектов, художник плавно переводит свое творчество в живописные холсты. В Москве будет представлена новая серия полотен в авторской технике. Картины Янниса это целое психологическое исследование в глубины человеческого сознания. Художник дает возможность взглянуть зрителю на сюжеты которых быть не могло. Это направление в искусстве называется Абсурдизм, течение появившееся в 30х годах 20 века, как ответвление сюрреализма. Согласно Абсурдизму, люди на протяжении всей своей истории предпринимали попытки найти смысл жизни. Для одних, традиционно, этот поиск следовал одним из двух путей: человек либо приходил к заключению, что жизнь бессмысленна, и всё что мы имеем - это «здесь и сейчас»; либо к ощущению пустоты, к ощущению, что все заранее предопределено некими высшими силами. Слово «абсурд» в данном контексте это не «логически невозможно», а скорее «человечески невозможно».
Для сгущения красок и эмоциональности в своих картинах художник изображает идолов современности, будь то Леонардо Ди Каприо, Пикассо, Уорхол или Анженила Джоли.
Художественные иллюзии – искажении чувств еще один эффект работ Маркополуса показывает как мозг обычно организует и интерпретирует сенсорное возбуждение. Иллюзии влияют на все чувства человека, это больше чем видение, визуальная иллюзия это оптический обман.
Другой прием, художественное осветление автор использует, для придания произведениям неясности и нелогичности сюжета. Основная парадигма в картинах Маркополуса это время, художник намеренно перемещает границы временных рамок, и зрителю на суд предстает ирреалистичный каламбур. Так художник играя законами всемирного тяготения, создает то что увидеть невозможно если только не взглянуть на его произведения.
